The first people to seek Jesus worshiped Him—while others who knew the Scriptures wanted Him gone.

In Matthew 2:1–12, we encounter two very different responses to the birth of Christ. The wise men come seeking Jesus in order to worship Him, while Herod claims worship with a heart bent on self-preservation and destruction. This passage confronts us with a timeless truth: knowing about Christ is not the same as truly worshiping Him.
